In addition, the Board may restrict or limit the time allotted to a person whose remarks are repetitive or are not relevant to the matter under consideration by the Board. Defamatory, abusive remarks or insulting comments and threats of violence will not be allowed, and the speaker's privilege of address may be terminated. The Board reserves the right to announce a shorter duration for comments prior to opening the comment period if necessary to assure completion of County business in a timely manner. There is a five-minute time limit per person. The Board will not take action at the time of the presentation but will direct County staff to respond appropriately to issues raised by citizens. This is needed to manage the Board's schedule. Videos can also be found on the Blue Earth County You Tube channel. (Enventis Cable Channel 7, 8 or 10 and Charter Cable Channel 12). Board videos are posted on the website at least three days following a meeting and can be viewed on KTV public access television Fridays at 9 p.m. Minutes are not posted until they are approved at the next Board meeting. Board packets are assembled two working days before each board meeting and include the same information Board members and media are given.
